Ray LaMontagne wins Grammy Award

Ray LaMontagne and the Pariah Dogs recently picked up the Grammy Award in the category “Best Contemporary Folk Album” for their work on the album God Willin’ and the Creek Don’t Rise (2010).  If you don’t already know the story of Ray LaMontagne, it is quite remarkable, as has been his musical output from day one.  The song you’re about to hear is particularly fetching, itself nominated for “Best Song of the Year.”  This is a live performance from The Ellen DeGeneres Show on February 8, 2011, just a few days before the Grammy was announced.
